Shirley Marie Moss

Shirley Marie Moss passed away at her home Wednesday, January 20, 2016. She was born on May 21, 1931 to Charles and Marie Redling in Seattle, Washington, and lived in the Olympia-Tumwater area since the early 1950s. Shirley worked as an administrative assistant for various industries until retirement. In earlier years she love to bowl league with her friends. She was an avid gardener and seamstress and enjoyed crocheting for her family and friends (the four legged ones too). She was a natural nurturer, having great success bringing plants back to life and rescuing pets. She was a caring and loving mother of four children, and always sought to help family and friends any way she could. Bargain shopping was her hobby…if there was a bargain, she would find it! She found joy in sharing her finds with the people in her life. Shirley is survived by her son, Aaron Moss (married to Renee Moss, living in Allyn, WA); and her three daughters, Suzanne Sorenson (living in Maryland), Rachelle “Liz” Reinitz (married to Mike Reinitz, living in Tenino, WA), and Andrea Mackay (married to Greg Mackay, living in Auburn, WA). Furthermore, she is survived by six grandchildren, Aimee, Patrick, Michael, Britney, Nikki, and T.J.; and five great grandchildren, Kayleigh, Brianna, Haleigh, Roland, and Nolan. Memorial donations can be made through the American Lung Association, Salvation Army, and/or local animal shelter.
