Flahiff Funeral Chapels & Crematory-Caldwell
Shirley M. Parker
August 1st, 1927 - February 9th, 2018
Shirley was born to Zeke and Vera Hagler in Lyman, South Dakota. She married Robert Hopkins and they had 3 children. After Robert’s untimely death, she attended the College of Idaho and earned her Teaching Degree. She later married Rusty Parker who brought his 4 children to their new family. Shirley was a dedicated teacher, wife and mother. She was regarded as a great friend by so many. Shirley lived a full and rich life. She had a gratitude and appreciation for living and never played the victim to the many tragedies she endured. I can honestly say there’s no better grandmother. She gave her time, wisdom, and unconditional love so freely to them. Shirley’s family are immensely grateful to her niece, Sheila Robinson, who was her loving and devoted caregiver and companion for the past 4.5 years. She didn’t want an obituary or a funeral, so we’ll just call this an invitation to her wake that will occur at 3424 Sunset Ave in Boise, ID at noon on Saturday, February 17th 2018.
