Shirley Ann Pledger
August 24th, 1934 - February 4th, 2020
Shirley (Johnson) Pledger went to be with her Lord on February 4, 2020 after a brief illness. She was born on August 24th 1934 to Stanley and Edith (Campbell) Johnson in Bethune, Colorado. She married James Pledger on 8/17/1958, and together they had three children Debra, Jeffrey, and Barbara who pre- deceased her. They later divorced. Shirley was an amazing Mother, Grandmother, and Great-Grandmother who gave tirelessly of her- self to anyone in need. Her friendships were lifelong, stretching back to her school days and she cherished them yet today. She worked for many years in banking, did volunteer work, and one of her favorite jobs was mentoring foster children. She loved to keep connected to friends and family via facebook on her ipad mini and enjoyed seeing pictures and posts. She loved to go up to Central City, and view the home that she grew up in. One of her fondest memories was babysitting for the opera singers that performed in the Teller House Opera. She loved and enjoyed her children, grandchildren, and great grandchildren She will be missed by many and is survived by her daughter Debra (Joe) son Jeffrey, grandchildren Stewart (Nicole), Krista, Joseph (Jessica), and Bernadette. 11 Great-Grandchildren Caleb, Lane, Ryan, Christian, Matthew, Alexis, Alina, Anthony, Taylour, Braydon, and Priscilla. Remembrances should be made to the American Cancer Society Cremation has been completed. Celebration of Life Reception on Sunday, March 1, 2020, 1pm-4pm at the Viegut Funeral Home Reception Center.
