Shirley Mary Swihart

April 25th, 1927 - August 17th, 2018

Shirley Swihart passed away August 17, 2018, in Tigard, Oregon. She was born in South Gate, California, April 25, 1927, the youngest child of Joseph Kaiser and Annie Kofeldt. Shirley grew up in Southern California and loved to spend time at the beach and in the desert. She enjoyed dancing to the big band music of the 1940s and made life-long friends dating back to that era. Shirley was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and friend. She gave her family steadfast love and support, cheering them on through life’s challenges and achievements. She also loved her family dogs, and most recently always shared a big smile and outstretched arms at the sight of her grand-dog Tyson. Shirley held various positions during her working career and dedicated 29 years as an administrative assistant to Kaynar Manufacturing in Fullerton, California. Above all, Shirley loved her family. She was preceded in death by her loving husband of 36 years, Charles Swihart, and her beautiful daughter Renee Frappier. She is survived by her daughter Loretta Goldy, son Terry Swihart, grandchildren Yvonne Clapper, Rhonda Cardona, Amanda Davis, Tammy Wolf, and Lori Swihart Brown, 12 great grandchildren and 3 great great grandchildren.
