Sidney "Butch" Shannon, 70, of Corning, California passed away on July 28, 2012 at his residence in Corning. Butch was born on July 3, 1242 in Three Rivers, Texas to Buster Brown Shannon and Eddie Mae Allen-Shannon. Butch served in the U.S. Army. He worked for over thirty years as a union bricklayer. He is survived by his beloved wife, Marilyn Shannon and by his daughter, Lori Leggett, as well as by many extended family members and friends. Butch will be cremated and his urn will reside at the home of his wife.
