Sidney Smith

Live video feed will start at 2:00 PM Wednesday July 9th, 2014 Sidney Richard Smith, 79, of Cape Canaveral, passed away June 29th, 2014 at Cape Canaveral Hospital. Richard was born in Paterson, N.J. He was an Army veteran of the Korean Conflict and had lived and worked as a lieutenant with the Ridgewood Police Department before retiring to Florida. He is survived by his wife, Renetta; children, Cheryl Smith, Steven (Jennifer) Smith, Kenneth (Linda) Smith, Cheryl (John) Laganella, Debra (Carl) Tortora, and Alan Daescher; grandchildren, Melissa Smith, Carley Smith, Joseph Laganella, Melissa (Jose) Blanco, Richard DelGiorno, Jessica Laganella, Krystal Daeschler, and Nicholas DelGiorno. Memorial services will be held 2 P.M. Wednesday, July 9th at Beckman-Williamson Funeral Home in Cocoa Beach.
