Siegfried Josef Marx

Siegfried Josef Marx, 76, of Meridian, passed away early Saturday morning December 2, 2021. Sig was born in Biberach, Germany, on April 15, 1944, the only child of Josef and Marie Hermann. Both parents died during World War II. After recovering from tuberculosis, Siegfried immigrated to the United States, St. Clair Shores, MI, where plans had been made for his adoption by Walter and Emilie Marx. He graduated from Assumption High in Windsor, Ontario in 1962 and joined the US Navy, proudly serving for eight years. After leaving the Navy, he worked for the telephone company for 31 years, in Boise, Weiser and Seattle, retiring in Meridian. Sigy is survived by his beloved wife, Linda, of 51 years and their sons: Eric and Anthony (Denise); grandchildren: Sebastian (Johanna), Britney, Trinitey, Cecilia, Jeffery and Mya (Nathan). He was a true sports enthusiast, loyal to his Tigers, Lions and Redwings. He had a great sense of humor, so full of love for his family; he will be greatly missed. Funeral Mass will be held at Meridian Holy Apostles Church on Monday January 11, at 11:00pm, Rosary hour before Mass.
