Solomon Davis Kilgroe

Kilgroe, Solomon Davis 82, died September 28, 2018. He was born the son of Solomon and Bernice Sellers Kilgroe on January 2, 1936 in Birmingham, Alabama. He grew up in Atlanta, Georgia and graduated from North Fulton High School, Atlanta and Mercer University, Macon, Georgia where he majored in History and was a member of Kappa Alpha Order. His varied professional career included work in banking and jornalistic research as well as twenty five years as a Business Analyst with Dun and Bradstreet. In addition to his family Davis' passions were History and Art. He is survived by his wife of 57 years, Jobyna Land Kilgroe; his three children, Jennifer Burke (Bill Burke), Solomon Matt Kilgroe, and Kitty Cors (Greg Cors); seven grandchildren, Elliott and Jack Burke, Carrington, Kent, and Jillian Kilgroe, Kallista and Chloe Cors; as well as his sister, Camilla Dixon Kilgroe. A Celebration of Life will be held, with a visitation from 4:00-5:00 pm and a service to follow at Anderson McQueen Family Tribute Center Friday, October 5, 2018 at 5:00 pm.
