Squeeker M Prouty

Squeeker M. Prouty 47, of Rotterdam Junction NY, Passed away on August 2nd, 2015 at St. Mary's Hospital with her loving companion and close friends by her side. Born May 15th, 1968 in Newton MA, she was the daughter of the late Maureen Prouty. Squeeker graduated from Wells Central School class of 1986 in Wells NY. She went on to earn her associates degree in business management and marketing from Johnson and Wales University in Providence RI. She also spent some time studying abroad, completing a semester in Italy. After college Squeeker joined Amsterdam Printing & Litho working as a sales and marketing assistant. She spent 8 years with them before taking a job as an associate analyst/ project coordinator with NYISO. For the last 7 years she was employed at Albany Medical Center as a Sr. Programmer analyst. Squeeker had a genuine need to make those around her feel special. Her love of life, family, and friends was extremely infectious. She loved Batman and the Red sox and rarely passed up the opportunity to collect a cookbook or watch The Food Network. She loved flowers and would kidnap her friends' dogs any chance she that had. Squeeker is survived by her longtime companion Ronald Becker Jr., her brother Charles and his wife Conchita Prouty, cousin Dusty Davis and his wife Wendy, their two sons Frank and William who was also her god son; Cousin Clifford Davis and his wife Connie and their son Vincent, two nieces; Erin Jehle and Michelle Moricone, two great nieces; Abigal "Sugar Plum" Spaulding and Liliana "Sweet pea" Moricone. She had many great friends who were also her family. Squeeker is predeceased by her mother Maureen Prouty, her aunt Karen Davis, her uncle Charlie Davis, her grandparents Charles and Eileen Davis, and her great-grandmother Hazel Abel. A reception celebrating her life will take place from 1pm to 4pm on Saturday August 8th, 2015 at the Riverlink Park located on 25 Church Street, Amsterdam NY, 12010. Donations may be made in her memory to Ayers Memorial Animal Shelter 1333 Hilltop Road, Sprakers NY, 12166. Her care has been entrusted to the staff at Betz, Rossi, & Bellinger Family Funeral Home, 171 Guy Park Park Avenue, Amsterdam NY, 12010.
