September 6th, 1972 - June 19th, 2018
Stacy Luther Strong, 45, of Hiltons, Virginia, passed away on Tuesday, June 19, 2018. He was a graduate of Gate City High School and was retired from AGC Industries. Autumn was his favorite season--Gate City football on Friday nights and college football all day Saturday. He was a devoted husband and a fun, supportive father. His children were his pride and joy and the love of his life. He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Luther & Anna Lee Sluss and George & Bessie Strong, his brother-in-law, Mark Wolfe, and his beloved Saint Bernard, Mack. He is survived by his adoring wife, Dania Wolfe Strong; son, Jacob Ethan Strong; daughter, Shyanna Bo Strong; father, Frank Strong; mother, Peggy Taylor; sister-in-law and friend, Yolanda Wolfe Burke; brother-in-law and best friend, David Brian Burke, sister-in-law, Dewanna Wolfe Cross and her husband Bruce; sister-in-law, Angie Wolfe; father-in-law & mother-in-law, John and Flo Wolfe; and nieces, Madison Cross, A.J. Cross, Cortney Wolfe, and Katie Wolfe; and aunt, Sherri Brally. The family will receive friends from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. Saturday, June 23, 2018, at Scott County Funeral Home in Weber City. A funeral service will follow at 7:00 p.m. in the funeral home chapel with Rev. Randy Powers officiating. A graveside service will be held at 11:30 a.m. Sunday at the Wolfe-Jett Cemetery in Hiltons, VA with Dale Jett providing the music. Family and friends will serve as pallbearers. Those wishing to attend are asked to meet at the cemetery at 11:25 a.m. Carter-Trent/Scott County Funeral Home, Weber City is serving the Strong family.
