Stanley BlinkhornA memorial service will be at 1 p.m. Saturday, April 30, at Grace Community Fellowship for Stanley Edward Blinkhorn of Eugene, who died April 20 of causes related to cancer. He was 78.He was born May 5, 1932, in Salem to Edward and Irene Voget Blinkhorn. He and his wife, Joan Elizabeth Blinkhorn, were married June 17, 1956, in Roseburg.He earned his bachelor of science degree from Oregon State in 1955 and his DVM degree from Colorado State in 1959 before serving in the Army from 1959 to 1961.He was a veterinarian for 40 years.Survivors include his wife; three daughters, Judith Duncan Pearce of Oregon City, Elizabeth Clark of Tigard, and Rebecca Kingsbury of San Ramon, Calif.; a son, Michael Blinkhorn of Van Nuys, Calif.; two sisters, Helen Webb of White Salmon, Wash., and Mary Wilmot of Lake Stevens, Wash.; and eight grandchildren.Arrangements by England’s Eugene Memorial Chapel. Remembrances to Sacred Heart Hospice or the building fund at Grace memorial Fellowship.
