"South Hadley-Stanley J. Boronski, 89, passed away April 6, 2019. Born July 25, 1929, he was the son of John J. and Rose K. (Krol) Boronski. Born and raised in Holyoke, as a youth he served as an Altar Boy and achieved the highest rank of Eagle Scout in 1943. A 1946 graduate of Holyoke High School, Stanley earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering from Western New England University in 1965 and later pursued an MBA there. He was employed at Monsanto holding positions in production, research and marketing. Later his career took him into technical sales first with Great American Chemical in Fitchburg and then with Gary Chemical in Leominster. Stanley was VP of Sales there before his retirement in 1996. He was a talented craftsman who loved to build things, from pool decks to day care centers. His projects were always geared toward helping his children or his grandchildren. His optimistic spirit was a support and encouragement to his family and friends who he loved wholeheartedly. He was dearly appreciated and loved by them in turn. In 2010, Stanley was predeceased by his beloved wife of 62 years, Mary Lorraine (Plumb). He will be deeply missed by his children, Susan Barsalou and her husband George of South Hadley, Robert and his wife Yuen Man of Monroe, CT and Linda Crelan of Laconia, NH. He also leaves his grandchildren, Rebecca Forbes, Shelby Jones, Courtney Fitzgerald, Nicholas, Chelsey, and Tyler Boronski, Cory Crelan, and Kelly Stead along with his great grandchildren, Jayde, Elijah, Jeremiah, Maleah, Farrah, and Cole as well as his dear sister, Virginia Zabowski of Holyoke. He was predeceased by his brother-in-law, Edwin Zabowski. Visitation will be held Thursday, April 11th from 9:00-11:00 a.m. at the Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home with a service to begin at 11:00 a.m. Burial will follow in Mater Dolorosa Cemetery, where he will be laid to rest beside his wife.
