Wilmore, KY Stanley Ward Hicks, 77, died December 22, 2017. He is survived by his wife Marcia (Callahan) Hicks; daughter Shannon (Sarah Book ) Hicks Reinhart of Columbus, OH; son Mike (Carol) Hicks of Versailles, KY; stepsons Jon (Lauren) Storck of Australia and Erich Storck of Lexington, KY and grandchildren Brandon Hicks, Tyler Storck, Callie Storck, Olivia Storck, Ethan Storck, Gretchen Storck and Phoebe Storck. He is preceded in death by his parents Harry and Myrtle (Asbury) Hicks; sisters Katherine Townsley and Margaret Waits and brothers Monet King, Jimmy Hicks and Charles Hicks. Stanley was retired from I.B.M. after 30 years, but found a hobby/second career doing furniture upholstery, restoring furniture and home remodeling. He was an avid UK fan and even kept his own stat sheets. He also enjoyed NASCAR, Gardening and cooking outdoors. Stanley was known for his acute sense of humor. He had also been a Youth Minister at Arlington Christian Church. Funeral Information There will be a Gathering of Family and Friends from 5-7PM, Tuesday, December 26, 2017 at Clark Legacy Center in Brannon Crossing.
