Stella R. Prokopowicz

Stella R. Prokopowicz Viera ,Florida. Stella R. Prokopowicz, a long-time resident of Floral Park, NY died on the 18th Day of December surrounded by loved ones. She was a member of St. Hedwig's Catholic Parish in Floral Park, New York and a member of St John the Evangelist Catholic Church in Viera Florida. Born in 1914 in New York City, Stella earned her high school diploma from Washington Irving High School in Manhattan. She continued her education at night in business accounting. After several positions as a book keeper in 1947 she was hired by Camloc Fastener Corporation and rose to the position of Treasurer. She retired from that position in 1972. She is survived by her older sister, Bernice Segen of Rockledge, Florida, Sons Col. John H. Prokopowicz and his wife, Joella of Viera Florida and Mr. Ronald W. Prokopowicz and his wife, Pamela of Lake Royale, NC. She will be especially missed by her Grandson, John Martin Prokopowicz and his wife, Fabienne, Granddaughter, Jo-Anne Sears and her husband Harry, Grandson, Robert F. Prokopowicz and his wife, Erica, grandson, Jeffrey A. Prokopowicz and his wife, Marisol and her Granddaughter Amy J. Prokopowicz. Her seven Great Grandchildren will most especially miss their sweet GG. Stella was preceded in death by her sister, Vera Nicholas, her Mother, Frances Jankowska Reperowicz and her soul mate and love of over 50 years of marriage, John Felix Prokopowicz. Mourning her passing are her special Angel Aides, Amanda, Irene, Dienecia an all the others from Senior Partners who gave her such loving care over the years. A Mass of Christian Burial will be said at St. John the Evangelist Church in Viera on Saturday, 22 December at 10 AM. Interment will take place at a later date In Westbury, Long Island.
