ST. MATTHEWS—Stephanie Yates Napier, 79, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 3, 2022, at Calhoun Convalescent Center. She was born on May 6, 1943, to the late Jack and Peggy Yates of Newberry. She was a devoted member of Christian Fellowship Baptist Church in Gaston for over 40 years. Stephanie was a lover of animals, especially her cats and dog, Rocketman. She is survived by a son, Neil Singleton, and his companion Lisa Kelly, of Pelion; her special partner, Tommy Jackson, of Gaston; sisters Rande Moolander (Larry), of New Bern, N.C., and Dee Davis of Mars Hill, N.C.; special friends Evangeline Hendricks and Sally Lister of Newberry; and many other relatives and special friends. A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at Christian Fellowship Baptist Church, 4625 Hwy 321, Gaston, SC 29053. Interment will follow immediately after in the church cemetery. The family will receive visitors from 6 until 8 p.m. on Sunday at Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington. Memorials may be made in her honor to the Humane Society of South Carolina, 405 Greenlawn Drive, Columbia, SC 29209. Thompson Funeral Home of Lexington is in charge of the arrangements.
