Stephen H. Adamson

Stephen H. Adamson, 67, of Arvada, passed away at his home on July 25, 2024, surrounded by his family. He was born May 29, 1957 in Greeley to Reed and Stamatina “Tina” (Syrost) Adamson where he was raised, graduating from Greeley Central High School in 1975, where he participated in football and gymnastics. 

Steve worked at the Greeley Pickle Docks in his early years and then attended college at Central Methodist in Missouri, receiving a Bachelor of Theology.  He also received his teaching license and a second Bachelor of History from UNC in Greeley. 

He taught school in Wyoming for a year as a gym and history teacher, then moved into the world of finance. He worked in downtown Denver where he managed IRA’s and was very proud of passing his Series 6 exams. 

Steve was very disciplined with focus on his fitness.  He was an avid reader who loved history, especially World War II.  He enjoyed listening to music from his large album collection on his cherished stereo system.  Spare time was spent rummaging through antique and bookstores.  He loved to play golf with his brother, Phil, ending with a good cigar and Hennessy cognac.  Steve was a devout Christian and volunteered with Habitat for Humanity. 

Survivors include his wife, Lisa, daughters, Keriann and Sasha, stepchildren; Robert and Matt, his brothers; Phil, Jim and Randy and their families.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A visitation will be held from 9:00 to 11:00 a.m. with a Life Celebration beginning at 11:00 a.m. Thursday, August 1, 2024 at Adamson.  Interment at Linn Grove Cemetery.
