Stephen Earl “Steve” Blackburn, 68, of Winston-Salem, NC, passed away peacefully Monday, November 6, 2023. A native of Guilford County, NC, Steve was the husband of Ginna Skipper Blackburn and the son of Earl Blackburn and Ora Eastridge Blackburn, both deceased. Steve was in the trucking industry for more than 40 years and was currently employed with Transource, Inc., Greensboro, NC with more than 25 years of dedicated service. He loved traveling to the mountains to visit his family as often as possible. Steve was a proud Harley-Davidson owner and an avid rider. Survivors include his wife, Ginna of the home; two brothers, Mike Blackburn and wife, Julie of Charlotte, NC, and Donnie Blackburn of Wendell, NC; uncle, Clay Clark of Lenoir, NC; several cousins; many special friends and neighbors; and his beloved fur-baby, Bleu. Private services will be held by the family at a later date. Friends and neighbors are welcome to visit Ginna at her residence. The family would like to extend a special thank you for the outpouring of love and support shown through their difficult time. Steve will be truly missed by his family and all that had the pleasure of knowing him. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Forsyth County Emergency Services- E.M.S.
