Stephen Grover Alexander Coffey, Jr., 27, passed at his home in Snow Camp, North Carolina May 3, 2020 as he ended his battle with heart failure. The family will be having a “floating” visitation from 1:00PM until 4:00PM Saturday at the family home. Private Graveside Services will be held for family and close friends. A Celebration of his Life Service will be held at a later date to be determined. Stephen was born December 4, 1992 to Steve and Diane Coffey. He was the eldest of three boys. He graduated from Eastern Alamance High School where he participated in several sports and extracurricular activities, including football and Hawfields Civitans. Stephen had a love of auto mechanics and was employed by NCDOT. Stephen leaves behind a wife, Erin Coffey of the home; parents, Steve and Diane Coffey of Mebane; brothers, Trevor Coffey and fiancé Kasey Quigley of Burlington, and William Coffey of Mebane; grandmothers, Nancy Ann Whitfield of Mebane, and Nancy Govoni of Springfield, MA; in-laws, Dave and Christine Quigley of Graham; and others including aunts, uncles, cousins, extended family and loving friends. He was preceded in death by a grandfather, Garland Pharm Whitfield of Mebane; great-grandfather, Grover Alexander Coffey of Burlington; and a great-grandmother, Marianne Coffey of Burlington.
