Loving married couple of 58 years, Joanne and Steve Hartigan passed away peacefully within hours of each other; Joanne, 80, on January 3, 2013 and Steve, 81, on January 4, 2013. They leave to cherish their memory six children, Denise, Cary (LeeAnn), Dennis, Cathy, Darlene Carlson, Colleen O'Malley (Sean); 8 grandchildren Josh (LaRayne), Jara, Katelyn, Christine, Justin, Cassie, Patrick, Molly; 3 great-grandchildren Jessica, Danny, Claire. Steve leaves behind brothers Terry, Kenny, Mike, Pat and sisters Vernon, Rita Sobaski, Maureen McGinn and many nieces, nephews and friends. Visitation will be held at Transfiguration Catholic Church, 6133 15th Street North, Oakdale on Tuesday, January 8 from 3pm - 7pm and Wednesday, January 9 from 9am - 11am. Funeral will begin Wednesday at 11am with a luncheon immediately following. Private interment will be at Fort Snelling National Cemetery. Flowers can be sent to Transfiguration or in lieu of flowers, donations can be made to Missionary Sisters of St. Peter Claver (St. Paul) or St. Joseph's Hospital HealthEast Foundation.
