Mr. Stephen Prince, 71, of Syracuse, New York passed away peacefully at home Wednesday, June 26, 2024. He was born on January 3, 1953, to the late Jenny T. Prince in Chicago, Illinois. He was joined in matrimony to Ida Prince. To this union, one child was born: Tyana Prince.

Mr. Prince grew up in Chicago, Illinois where he attended Hales Franciscan High School and graduated. He then joined the United States Navy and is a Vietnam Veteran. Mr. Prince resided in California for many years and then relocated to Syracuse, New York. Where he worked at Loretto for 20+ years and retired in April 2023. Mr. Prince enjoyed gatherings with friends and family playing Bid Whisk.

Mr. Prince was preceded in death by his mother, Jenny T. Prince.

He is survived by his children: Tyana Prince (Los Angeles, CA) and Keisha Nicole Wilson (Detroit, MI); six grandchildren: LaSherrell Washington, Jazmine Gary, Blessyn Johnson of Los Angeles, CA, Kerra Wilson, Brianna Wilson, and Carl Pearson III (Detroit, MI); three great grandchildren. Vanessa Marie Ampofo (mother of Keisha Nicole Wilson) One brother, Ricky Prince of Arizona. And Special Friend and Caregiver Crystal Lucas.

Calling hours will be held on Thursday, July 11th from 5 to 7PM at A. Dewitt Memorial Funeral Home, 4612 S. Salina St. Syracuse, New York 13205
