Stephen Simon

Stephen Allen Simon, 68, of Palmetto, passed away September 1, 2022 at home. He was born in Bowling Green, Ohio. After working in construction for a number of years, he started working at Tropicana Juice Company, where he was also a member of the Teamsters Union. After years of complicated situations throughout his life, he found and accepted the Lord and was able to get back on track through the rest of his life. He was a friend of Bill W. He was preceded in death by his father Byron in 1999 and his brother Jerry in 1980. He is survived by his mother Shirley Brown, son Byron A. (Jennifer) Simon of South Carolina, brothers David (Kathy) of Bradenton and Charles L. (Connie) McCartney of Parrish, grandchildren Katie and Christopher, nephews Charles S.(Ashley) McCartney, David (Hollie) Simon, Jr., Jerry (Tia) Simon and niece Laura (Jason) Donahue. Visitation will be Thursday, Sept. 8, 2022 from 10:00 to 11:00 A.M. with a funeral service to follow at 11:00 AM. Interment will be at Manasota Memorial Park.
