Stephen Patrick Vallejos
March 12th, 1960 - February 20th, 2017
Obituary Stephen Patrick Vallejos, 56, passed peacefully at his home in the early morning of February 20, 2017. His daughters, Rebecca and Sheena, and his grandchildren were with him, holding him. He was born March 12, 1960 in Trinidad to Robert Gregory and Nellie (Guerrero) Vallejos. He lost his mother at a very young age and was raised by his loving foster parents, Max & Corrine Ortega. After high school, he went to work for the railroad. He has many stories about his time of his life before he pursued his passion of building houses. Eventually, a steadier income brought him to his life long career in the Disposal Industry that he continued for over 30 years. Steve married his sweetheart, Susan Maryann Abeyta, August 25, 1979. Steve and Sue were inseparable and had an unbreakable bond. They shared 36 years of their lives together until her parting a year ago; needless to say, he was devastated with a broken heart. His family will tell you they are together again! Steve had many passions. He loved to us his hands. He enjoyed carpentry and landscaping to improve the family home and being the mechanic that his children came to depend on. He also loved his dogs; Smoke, Aubrey and Roxy. His hobbies included being a Nascar fan rooting for Tony Stewart and most importantly, being the Die Hard Broncos Fan that everyone knows him to be! He is survived by his children, Joshua Abeyta, Rebecca Sue Seal, Erica Christine Baker and Sheena Marie Vallejos; grandchildren, Mariana Dai Kuker, Cristina Rebecca Seal, John Steven Bogner, Cristian Jason Seal, Cristalin Eve Seal, Marissa Louise Bogner, Cristavon Joe Seal, Cristiana Lily Seal and Stephen Jason Vallejos-House; sisters, Catherine, Marie, Veronica, Rebecca, Laura and Jennifer; brothers, Robert, John, David and Timothy; Susans family; cousins, and numerous nieces and nephews. All strangers he met became Friends. He was and will forever be Cherished by all who knew him Services Cappadona Funeral Home 1020 E Fillmore St Colorado Springs, CO 80907
