Steven Edward Brown passed away on Friday, March 30, 2012 of natural causes surrounded by his loving daughters, Missi Brown Hitchcock and Kristi Brown Esquival and his best friend and loving companion of over 17 years, Chris Brown Mitchell. Steve was born in Nampa, Idaho to James and Doris Brown on February 6, 1951 along with one sibling, his brother, James (Jim) Brown. He taught many of the skills of working safely in the timber industry and later in his life was asked to come to New Zealand to teach a crew how to slack-line log. He did so proudly. He was an avid outdoors man and loved being in the mountains hunting, fishing and camping. He loved his children, grandchildren, stepson and stepdaughter passionately. Steve was preceded in death by his father, James Brown, mother , Doris Hammons Brown and stepmother, Elzetta Brown. He is survived by his daughters, Missi Brown Hitchcock of Elk Grove, California and Kristi Brown Esquival of Oklahoma, his stepson Rich Padilla of Nampa, Idaho, a stepdaughter, Amy Padilla of Portland, Oregon, 6 grandchildren, 5 step-grandchildren, several great-step-grandchildren, his brother James (Jim) Brown of Nampa and Raymond Brown of Yakima, Washington, his niece Dani Brown of Nampa, Idaho, nephews Daniel and Devin Brown and his best friend, caregiver and wife, Chris Brown Mitchell.
