Chance was born in Washington where he continued to reside until relocating to Montana in 2020. After graduation he held numerous jobs exploring multiple career options. He enjoyed many sports & hobbies from 4-wheeling, camping, restoring cars and snowboarding which brought him happiness & smiles that were shared with family and friends. Chances passion was to bring new life into old, broken or discarded items. He looked at it as a challenge and he had the creativity to envision redesigns and new functionality into almost anything. He was always scouting for new (old) items to add to his completed list of projects. In early 2020 he met the love of his life, Jackye Babb, who later became his fiance. Shortly thereafter the couple relocated to Montana where Chance trained & continued his career as a mechanic. On May 10th Chance was blessed with a miracle baby, his son, Niko. Chance was thrilled to be a father and made daily hospital trips to be with Niko in the Neonatal intensive care unit putting his career on hold in Montana to be with his son. On May 25th as Chance left the Neonatal Unit from his daily routine of being with Niko, we tragically lost Chance in an early morning accident. Chance is survived by his son, Niko, fiance Jackye Babb, Parents Michelle Lange & Jerry Carlson, Siblings Nathan & Destiny, Grandparents Keith Lange, Debby Jerome & Betty Carlson & numerous aunts, uncles, cousins & many Washington/Montana friends. Services in memory of Chance will be held on June 11, 2022, 1:00 at Hill Funeral Home in Puyallup. (217 E Pioneer, Puyallup WA 98372) Chance, know that Niko will be taken care of when you look in to see how all are doing. Love & Miss you Chance Love Mom

Starting in a two-story building on North Meridian, where he lived with his wife Mabel and their son Vernon, Ernest Hill introduced the first motor-powered funeral coaches in Pierce County, transitioning from traditional horse-drawn services....
