Steven was a loving father and grandfather. His children were his pride and joy. His grandchildren were the light of his eyes. Steven would always help friends and family when they needed his assistance. He was a die-hard Dallas Cowboy Football fan. Steven loved to barbecue for family gatherings. He enjoyed his dogs, Bear, Freddie and Princess. He was loved by many, and will be missed by all. He is survived by Wife Guadalupe Salcedo of the Family Home in Salinas sons Steven and Nicki Salcedo, Jr. of Decatur, Georgia Victor and Natalia Santiago Salcedo of San Diego Father Margarito Salcedo nephews Robert Rodriguez of Gonzales Christopher Garza of Soledad Eric Garza of Soledad along with other numerous nephews and nieces sister Margarita Salcedo of Texas brothers Armando and Rosa Salcedo of Texas Jose Salcedo of Texas Preceded in death by mother Narcisa Sentena brother Victor Salcedo

At Healey, we treat our Salinas Valley community members like family. Our story begins after World War II when Veteran Herbert C. Healey hoped to find a way to continue to meaningfully help his county and community grow. He and his wife founded Salinas Valley Mortuary in 1956 to help serve the families in the Salinas Valley area. Their lifelong mission was to unselfishly serve area families based on their strong, trusting relationship with their community – something we honor to this day almost seven decades years later....
