Steven R. Stillwell

A kind and caring father, loving husband, and good friend, Steven R. Stillwell passed away February 17, 2020, in Rochester, Washington. He was born September 11, 1943, to William and Marie Stillwell in Olympia, Washington. Steve graduated from Olympia High School in 1962 and Centralia Junior College in 1965. He served in the U.S. Air Force from April 23, 1965 to April 22, 1971. Professionally, Steve was a land surveyor for the Washington State Department of Natural Resources and the firm of Bracy and Thomas. He also was a volunteer firefighter with North Thurston Fire District 7. Steve loved woodworking and geology, and was a rock hound. He also enjoyed foraging and collecting interesting items. He is survived by his sons, Robert H. Stillwell and Darrel E. Stillwell; daughter, Sandra K. Stillwell; and brother, David W. Stillwell. He was predeceased by his wife, Becky Stillwell; and his parents. A Celebration of Life will be held Saturday, February 22, 2020, 11:00 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. at 17927 Empire St. SW, Rochester, WA 98579. Memorial donations may be made to Wounded Warriors. Please leave condolences or share memories and photos on the Tribute Wall to the left.
