Stewart Young Stewart Cyril Young 1925 – 2013 “Stew” is no longer with us but he is at peace with no more pain and no longer fighting his health problems that plagued him for quite sometime. He will be greatly missed by many, but his memories will last forever! Stew has had a full, busy and at times, exciting life. After serving in the Navy during World War II he took up flying and received his commercial pilot license. Along with his exciting and daring occupation as a crop duster, he gave flight lessons. He soon decided he would like to get in the sawmill industry and bought and sold sawmill machinery and basically stayed connected with the sawmill industry in one form or another until he had a stroke in 2005 and heart surgery in 2006 when his health began to decline. He was also very active in weight lifting and tennis but with his traveling in business he had little time to enjoy. Stew was also building his dream, a 33’ sail boat that he wanted to see in the water and give it at least one good sail! His dream was never completed, but hopefully the Northwest Wooden Boat School will take his dream to completion with the sails filled with wind in the waters of Puget Sound, the area that Stew loved because of all the sailing in the area. Stew spent many hours walking the docks in Port Townsend dreaming of the day that his dream boat would be sitting there on the waters! Stewart Cyril Young married Virginia Lindberg-Wiant in October 1981 and resided in Eugene Oregon until his death. He is survived by his wife, Ginny, children, Pamela, Stewart, Kimberly, Cynthia, Cyril, and Leo; and step children, Kathleen, Stephen, Randal, James, Gerald and Michael; daughter in-laws Theresa, Jennifer, Karen, Kristi, Laurel, Kari and Colleen. Stew also has many grandchildren and great-grandchildren residing from Alaska to Mexico to Hawaii! Rest well Stewart, we all miss you! I love you! Ginny
