Stuart C. LeVan
May 24th, 1991 - August 4th, 2024
Gone too soon.
Stuart Chandler LeVan, 33, passed away on Sunday, August 4, 2024, in Columbia.
Born in Columbia, SC, he was a son of Jeffrey Stuart LeVan and Kristina Wilson Nobles (Frankie). He was owner of Stu’s Home Interior Technicians. Stuart was a 2009 graduate of Brookland-Cayce High School and had attended Midlands Technical College. Although he lived some of his early years in Pelion, he spent most of his life in the Cayce/ West Columbia area.
Stuart was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. He was a unique person, kind and giving, honest and true. He was a person who could be counted on by all who knew him, a friend who was up for anything, and always available to lend a hand if asked. His sense of humor was legendary. He would bring alligator, tacos, or sushi as his contribution to Thanksgiving dinner and it was always a surprise. Stuart was a joy to be around with his positive outlook on life, always with a smile or a laugh. Stuart enjoyed boiling peanuts which he took pride in sharing with his friends. He loved riding his motorcycle and introduced many of his friends to riding, earning the nickname Grandpa Squid.
In addition to his parents, he is survived by brothers Patrick LeVan (Nicole) and Harrison LeVan, sisters Jessica LeVan and Vanessa LeVan, nephews Ethan LeVan, Patrick W. LeVan, and James LeVan, nieces Jessalyn LeVan, Brooke Arcand, and Brenlee Crace, maternal Oma Hannelore Wilson, several uncles, aunts, and cousins.
He was pre-deceased by his paternal grandparents John T. and Nellie Brown LeVan, maternal Opa Bob L. Wilson, Sr. and his Uncle Michael C. Wilson.
Our family will be forever grateful for having been loved by him for his 33 years with us and he will continue to be loved by each of us until we draw our last breaths.
