Mementos

Our mother, Sue Browning Morehead was born on October 30, 1938 in Indianapolis, Indiana and passed away on Saturday March 26, 2022 in Weiser, Idaho. We want our mom to be remembered for the enduring devotion she always gave to her children, her children's friends and her friends. Her home truly lived by the open door policy as could be evidenced by the number of teenagers who found refuge there throughout the years. It was always the gathering place for the start of adventures. She tirelessly worked 3 jobs to raise her 4 children without ever receiving child support or any form of government assistance. She was proud to say that all 4 of her children were college graduates. Throughout everything, our mother remained a faithful Episcopalian and cherished her church “families”. She leaves behind 3 children, Greg Morehead, Steve (Fatima) Morehead and Mindy (Mark) Sands; and 2 grandchildren, Matt Morehead and Levi Morehead. She was preceded in death by her oldest son, Jeff Morehead. Her final resting spot will be beside her son Jeff at the Lexington Cemetery in Lexington, KY. Our mom requested a simple memorial service which will be held at St. Luke's Episcopal Church in Weiser, ID on April 5th, 2022 at 5pm. Her St. Luke's family doted on her during her time in Weiser and we are very thankful for that. Hence, in lieu of flowers we ask you to consider a donation to her beloved church in Weiser, Idaho. We Entrusted Sue Morehead's Care To

Thomason Funeral Home

For more than 100 years, the Thomason Funeral Home has worked to help the Weiser community heal after loss. We help families plan funerals, cremation services, and celebration of life services. Our story began in 1910 when Lloyd Northam opened the doors at the site now occupied by the current Weiser Elk’s Lodge. Since then, the business has had several names, partnerships, and owners. Among them was Dale Thomason, our namesake, who began working at the funeral home in the mid-1940s and purchased the home as a family business to run with his son. At Thomason, we focus on helping your family with personalized care. We do everything we can to provide professional, compassionate support to every family that trusts us with their funeral arrangements. Along with our sister location in Ontario, Oregon, we help Treasure Valley families connect, honor, and remember their loved ones....
