Sue Janet Thomas, 79, was called to Heaven on Wednesday, October 14, 2015. Sue Janet was born to Cecil and Gertrude Brownlow in Eldorado, Oklahoma on December 31, 1935. Sue married Robert Haskell Thomas on August 26, 1956. Sue is preceded in death by her parents, Cecil and Gertrude Brownlow, her daughter, Pamela Sue Potter, son, Matthew Scott Thomas and her sister Mary Richards. Sue Janet was a 1954 graduate of Bartlesville College High School and attended Oklahoma State University where she was a member of Kappa Kappa Gama Sorority. Sue Janet and Robert Thomas were married in August 1956 and were together 59 glorious years. Upon Robert's graduation from Oklahoma State University, the couple moved to Houston, Texas where Robert began his career with Phillips Petroleum Company. In 1968, Robert along with his Brother- In-Law, Dave Searl, started Riverside Oil Company in Evansville, Indiana. Sue was a dedicated, loving wife and mother to Robert and their 4 children. In 1972, the couple moved back to Eldorado, Oklahoma to raise their family in a small town atmosphere where Sue Janet served for several years as the Director of the Eldorado Senior Citizen Center. In 2007, they retired and moved to Punta Gorda, Florida. Sue Janet is survived by her husband Robert Thomas of the home, sons Jeff Thomas of Grove, Oklahoma and Michael Thomas of Orlando, Florida. Also,10 grandchildren. Graveside Memorial Services for Sue Janet will be held at the Eldorado Cemetery in Eldorado, Oklahoma at 10:30 am on Tuesday, October 20, 2015 under the direction of Lowell-Tims Funeral Home, Eldorado.
