Sue Eleanor Waner

March 25th, 1933 - May 5th, 2012

One of Mom’s favorite stories tells of someone making a journey to heaven; “On this side, “she’d tell us, “the people are waving and crying ‘there she goes!’ while on the other shore people are laughing and shouting ‘here she comes!’” On May 6, 2012, Mom finished her journey and stepped off to a joyous welcome in heaven. Sue was born on March 25, 1933 to Jacob and Florence Keller, just 18 minutes before her brother Roy. She went to school at Central Park and Star, eventually graduating from Middleton High School in 1951. She married Olen Waner in 1952, moved to Caldwell and raised two daughters, Nancy and Carol. Sue and Olen divorced in 1969, but remained life-long friends. She worked at several jobs, but her favorite was her time at Falks, ID where she made many friends. She loved cats, vacationing on the Oregon coast with her sister and brother-in-law, her time at Bible Study Fellowship and living at Leisure Village #9, surrounded by so many caring people. She is survived by her sister June Warf, brother Roy Keller, nieces, nephews, daughters Nancy Waner and Carol (Gordon) Arnzen and her beloved cat Patches. She was preceded in death by her parents and her brothers, David and Donnie. A memorial service and luncheon will held on Friday, May 11, 2012 at 12:00 PM at Treasure Valley Christian Church in Caldwell. A family graveside will be held later at Star Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests gifts to Pet Haven or “For The Least of These” at lscc.org, or the charity of your choice. Service Information
