Surjit Singh Gill

Surjit Singh Gill, a resident of Yuba City, passed away at Rideout Memorial Hospital, January 28, 2021. Surjit was born on November 5, 1949 in Talwandi Fattu of Punjab, India and immigrated to California in 1971. He came to United States with a few dollars in his pocket, courage in his bones and big dreams in his eyes. He worked hard and became a successful business man and a proud farmer. He shared his success by paving the way for his brothers and their families to join him. He was a loyal and respected man who had a heart full of love for everyone, especially his family. His obsession for sports stemmed from his early years winning trophies playing kabaddi and was a loyal 49ers fan. He is survived by his children Gurmukh, Surinder, Sukhbinder, Hardeep and Amarithpal and his grandchildren Satwinder, Jasroop, Ajay, Arjun, Alana, Anjali, Harseeret, Amreen and Ishika. He also leaves behind his siblings, Gurdev (Debo), Gian, Sulakhan, Manjinder, Manjit, and Kuldip. He has reunited with his beloved wife Ravinder Gill and sister Balbir Bains in heaven. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, February 6, 2021 from 12pm to 2pm at Ullrey Memory Chapel, 817 Almond Street, Yuba City, CA 95991. Funeral services can also be viewed on Zoom.
