South Hadley, Susan H. (Funk) Booth, 61, died on Monday November 23, at Holyoke Medical Center from complications of breast cancer. She was born in Holyoke and was the daughter of August and Vivian (Laprade) Funk. Sue resided in South Hadley her entire life. She obtained her Associates Degree in Early Childhood Education and has been employed at Stop and Shop for over 30 years. Sue was a gentle soul who enjoyed scary movies, vacations on Lake George, Universal Studios and Disney World and time with her cat Spooks. Above all, family was everything to Sue, her children, grandchildren, siblings and extended family and friends brought her immense joy. Her laughter and quick wit were priceless and will be greatly missed. She will be forever missed by her two daughters, Ashley and Casey Funk, granddaughters, Aubrie and Skyler along with siblings, Donna Dupuis of Chicopee, Crystal Demers (Donald) of Brimfield, Henry Funk (Gail), Michael Lamontagne (Kathleen) all of S. Hadley, Dennis Funk (Linda) of Hatfield, Linda Robare with whom she lived, Cheryl Ann Funk (Bill Young) of Granby, Darlene Burns (Rick) of Brimfield. Her close friend Mary Stone and husband, Kevin Booth and many nieces and nephews and friends survive her. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by her brothers, Keith and Kenneth. Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, December 1st from 4:00 pm to 6:30 pm at Beers & Story South Hadley Funeral Home, 646 Newton St. A Celebration of Life Service will follow at 6:30 pm. Burial will be on Wednesday at 11:00 am at West Cemetery in Granby, please meet directly at the cemetery.
