Susan Almon Bryan Harrington passed away on July 23, 2013 after a year long battle with cancer. Sue was born on July 22, 1938 in Princeton, IN to John Thomas and Ina Almon. She grew up in Evansville, IN graduating from Francis Joseph Reitz High School in 1956 after which, she attended Translyvania University in Lexington, KY. There she received a teaching degree, graduating in 1960. Sue resided with her family in Winter Park, FL from 1970 to 2005 where she was a successful business owner. She was an active member of her community sitting on many boards and committees including the Junior League of Orlando, Winter Park YMCA, and the Winter Park Parks and Recreation Advisory Committee. In 2005, she remarried to Frank Harrington. In 2009, they moved to Melbourne, Florida where they have lived for the past four years. Sue was as a loyal friend, a gracious wife and loving mother. She will be remembered for her warm smiles, kind words, and caring heart. She was a faithful servant to God and a member of Northland Church for many years. Sue is survived by her husband, Frank Harrington; her daughter, Melissa Bryan of Austin, TX; her son, John N. Bryan and his wife, Grey of Coral Gables, FL; her brother and sister-in-law, JT Almon II and LeDonna Almon of Longwood, FL. She is also survived by two grandchildren, Jackson Bryan and Anderson Bryan; two nephews, JT Almon III and Nathan Almon and his wife, Brittany; a niece, Claire Almon; Frank’s Children, Amy Kadar and her husband, Todd and four children of Pittsburgh, PA; and Julie Mart and her five children of Evansville, IN. Arrangements are being made for a Memorial Bench in Sue’s honor to be placed in Winter Park. A dedication ceremony and “Celebration Of Life” are being planned for November 2013.
