Susan Kay Hickman

Susan Kay Hickman, 66, joined our Lord and Savior on December 4th 2023. Susan was born in Minneapolis Minnesota on May 18, 1957 Charles, Raymond, Mercill Rea Crouch. She was the oldest of three children. While her father pursued a career with Montgomery Wards, they moved frequently, including living in Minnesota, Michigan, Illinois, Pennsylvania, and finally, Florida. Her four years of high school saw that she attended five different schools and finally graduated from community college adult high school in Longwood, Florida. On July 4, 1976 she welcomed her first child, Sorina Marie Davis. On December 18, 1977 she welcomed her second child, William Charles Hickman. On December 30, 1979 she married her soulmate, Larry Ross Hickman, and was blessed with 43 years together until the passing of her loving husband. With the union of her soulmate, she helped raise three stepchildren as her own, Melissa Sue Walls, Larry Willard Hickman, and Michelle Renee Hickman. As a single mother, she found a job that paid one dollar over minimum wage as a bill collector for Montgomery Wards in 1978. She found that she had a talent for this type of work. She then worked for Family Lines FCU, Navy Orlando FCU, Montgomery Wards Employees FCU, ADP. This experience led to the Collections and Compliance manager at ISPC. She retired at the end of 2022. After her retirement, she filled her days traveling and adventuring often. She survived by her children, grandchildren, parents, and siblings.
