Susan was a beloved daughter, sister, aunt, cousin, niece, and friend. One of her greatest blessings in life was her family. She loved big and was always willing to share everything she had. Her life on earth was difficult with many health issues beginning in childhood. She was a true warrior and kept the faith throughout her journey here. She had a quiet and gentle spirit. She was a lover of all things with four paws, was an animal advocate, and took good care of her fur babies, Buddy and Jessie, and loved them well. She loved nature and enjoyed being outdoors. On the weekends and summers, she loved spending time with family at the beach, Pretty Place, Saluda Shoals Park, and chasing waterfalls in the Upstate. She loved listening to His Radio and enjoyed attending online services through Elevation Church. She had a heart for the sick, broken, and oppressed. She was an advocate for mental health and encouraged everyone to take care of themselves. The world will not be the same for those who knew and loved her, but her life will continue to impact others as she was a bright light of hope and a testament of grace as she inspired others with her faith and perseverance. Her smile touched everyone she met and will always be remembered. Donations in her memory can be made to a local animal rescue group; TWOLA (To Write Love on Her Arms; NAMI (National Alliance for Mental Illness), or a charity of your choice. A Celebration of Life Service will be held on Saturday, August 21, 2021 at 2 p.m. at Upstate Church-Harrison Bridge-First Baptist Simpsonville, 679 North Harrison Bridge Road, Simpsonville, SC 29680.
