Susan Elaine Reeves

Susan passed away on Nov. 13, 2012 at Enloe Medical Center, surrounded by family. She was born at Enloe on July 26, 1947 to Jack and Gertrude Killingsworth Nabors. Sue attended local schools, and in 1963 married Richard Fritter. To this union two children were born; Barbara in 1964 and Russell in 1966. In 1978 she married Gene Reeves. Sue’s greatest joy was her family. She loved cooking for the ever-expanding group. She also enjoyed going to the casino and playing the nickel slots. Sue is survived by her husband, Gene Reeves of Chico; daughter, Barbara Krumins of Paradise; granddaughter, Shaun (Gene) Stevenson of Oroville; grandson, John Fritter of Susanville; great grandkids, Christopher and Rebecca Stevenson of Oroville; sisters, Linda Scott, Patricia (Phillip) Jacobs and Gloria (Jeff) Slighton all of Chico; brothers, Jack (Cheri) Nabors of Auburn and John Nabors of Rancho Cordova; stepdaughter, Sandy (Juan) Avila of Oroville and a multitude of nephews and one niece. She was preceded in death by her son, Russell Fritter and her granddaughter, Roxanne McNally. There will be a visitation service for Sue on Monday, November 19, 2012 from 7 – 9 p.m. at Affordable Mortuary in Chico. A Graveside service will take place on Tuesday, November 20, 2012, 1 p.m. at Glen Oaks Memorial Park in Chico. Immediately following the services will be a celebration of life at the recreation room at Meadows Mobile Home Park, 3541 Calle Principal in Chico. In lieu of flowers you may make a donation to the American Cancer Society for Breast Cancer Research in Susan’s name, in care of Affordable Mortuary, 2934 Esplanade, Chico, CA 95973, who are handling the arrangements.
