Susan H. Saulnier
November 28th, 1955 - April 8th, 2021
Susan H. Saulnier, of Columbia, SC passed away on April 8, 2021 after a heroic battle with cancer. She was an adoring daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and dog mom to two Yorkies, Lexi Mae and Coco. Sue enjoyed spending most of her time surrounded by family, dining out (even though she could give the next Top Chef a run for the title), as well as visiting Gloucester, MA, where she loved long walks along the ocean. Sue never missed a chance to vacation, taking cruises to the Caribbean islands but her favorite port of calls were always in New England. Sue was fortunate to spend more than 250 days cruising the high-seas. You could always spot Sue in a crowd, smiling while wearing the brightest colored clothes and having her hair and nails done perfectly. More than anything, Sue is remembered for always caring about other people, constantly asking how you’re doing with a genuine concern and finding ways to surprise you with little things to make your day better. She will be missed immensely as she touched so many lives. She is survived by her loving husband of 41 years, Tim Saulnier; their son, Michael; daughter, Amanda Saulnier Perkins, with her husband Lee, and their three children; her parents, Margot and John Sisario; her brothers, John Sisario, Andree Sisario, Michael Sisario; and sister, Tinamarie Sisario Hinson. While Sue loved having fresh flowers around the house, in lieu of sending flowers, the family asks that you make a donation in her name to any non-profit supporting animal rescue or shelters, a cause she cared for deeply. The Saulnier Family is holding a service for Sue at Thompson Funeral Home at Greenlawn Memorial Park on Leesburg Rd in Columbia on Thursday, April 22, 2021 at 12:00pm, with a private burial at Fort Jackson National Cemetery following. Those attending the services are asked to wear bright clothes, as Sue loved color.

We Entrusted Susan Saulnier's Care To
Greenlawn Memorial Park
Greenlawn Memorial Park is one of Columbia's most historic perpetual care cemeteries. This gorgeous setting combines serenity, natural beauty, and diligent care for generations of families. North Lake, located in the center of our park, offers a water feature and is the site of many local events, including an annual Easter sunrise service, a Greenlawn tradition for over 50 years. The park also has a veteran's section, private family estates, a columbarium with niches for cremated remains, and an incredible granite mausoleum....
