Chicopee- Susan M. "Sue" Curran, 66, passed away February 24, 2024. She was born on May 22, 1957 in Holyoke, Massachusetts to the late John J. and Lois (Bennis) Curran. Sue graduated from South Hadley High School in 1975. She was a champion twirler with the Royal Columbian Drum Corp and volunteered at the La Salette Shrine in Enfield, New Hampshire. After graduation, she developed a career as a legal and medical secretary. Sue had an adventurous spirit and loved traveling to new places and trying new things. She particularly enjoyed the beach and going to Jimmy Buffett concerts. Most of all, she loved spending time with her family, especially her nieces and nephews. She was loving known as "Auntie Sue" by everyone and was truly the greatest aunt. Besides her parents, Sue was preceded in death by her brother, John J. Curran, Jr. She leaves behind her brothers, Gary Curran and wife Erin, and Tom Curran and wife Debby; nieces and nephews, Jake Curran and wife Lex, Jean Curran and fiancée Kelly Barstow, Megan Curran, Tim Curran, and Josh Curran; as well as many extended family and friends. A celebration of Sue's life will be scheduled and announced at a later date. In lieu of flowers and to honor Sue's love for animals, please consider donating in Sue's memory to the ASPCA by visiting aspca.org.
