My brothers and I always had a good time when our Uncle Jr would come to visit our parents home in CT. Chris and I enjoyed a wonderful time with Uncle Jr and Aunt Betty when they visited and hooked their camper to our home during their trip to Barkhamsted, CT. Fortunately, that is what our children will always remember, too, when we speak of our Idaho family. Uncle Jr will be missed. Much Love to all. Sharon, Chris and CT family

My deepest sympathies to his wife and children at this difficult time. It has been over 50 years since I last saw "Junior"as we referred to him when we were youngsters. Bonnie, Sandy, Cindy, Bill and Paul our hearts are heavy for all of you. Uncle Bernie and your family has always been a big part of our family even though we live so far away. I remember all of the trips to the mountains and the lake when we would visit. I got to see Bernie and Bonnie on their last trip to Houston which was great. The one memory I will keep in my mind forever about Bernie is the smile and contentment he had sitting on the front of my boat in Galveston Bay fishing. Trish, i know how deep your love for Bill and his for you. You had something everyone dreams of. You know he will always be there watching over you, the kids and grandkids. My heart goes out to you Trish. I know you are hurting. Big big hugs my dear. I am so sorry.

I've known Bill about 48 years and he's always been in a class by himself. I've always sensed and felt it, and others who've known him well (and to know Bill was to love him) will know what I'm talking about. The last year and a half I've thought about Bill nearly every day and much of the time I was turning over in my mind what a really unique and special person he was, and trying to put my finger on what it was that made him the wonderful person he was day in and day out. When God made Bill he was in rare form and bestowed upon him a long list of the finest qualities. Thankfully these qualities, creations gifts, weren't wasted on Bill who shared them with us every day, and passed them on to his beautiful children where I saw them as clearly as I ever had in Bill during the saddest moments of their young lives. The world was a much better place with him in it. Outside of my immediate family, I've never felt more comfortable, or enjoyed being with anyone more than Bill. I miss my friend and will never have another like him. There will never be anyone like him. It is said that grief is the price we pay for love, and it's true but that's our burden. Bill is at peace and his reward for being as god created him, a wonderful person.

Oh, Gail, you left a message on my fb recently. It made my week. When I was little we were all either at your and Jerry's house or ours. I remember when we went to the RV park for the summer and one of us four kids got hurt from walking the dogs. So you and my mom took that kid to the ER. While trusting my dad and Jerry could take care of the other three kids. Well, HA!! The next ER trip was from one of us walking in front of the swing set Jerry and my dad was pushing us on. I was going to write about Shawn's history, but Shaw's history is not as important as who Shawn became. Shawn was a good businessman, a trusted friend one you could always count on but most importantly he was a loving family man. 
 Some of my favorite memories of Shawn are his interactions with his grandparents especially his grandfathers, he could talk easily with them and get them started telling stories and then he would sit and listen intently to everything they said, he always treated them with dignity and respect and was truly interested in what they had to say. 
 I was honored to count Shawn as a friend, but I am proud to call him my nephew. 
 Rest easy Shawn Boy, we'll see you again someday.

I could write for years on the 25 years I had with my dad but today I thought about the night I was being a naughty teenager and stayed out way past my curfew and ignored all his phone calls. I tried to sneak through the front door when I finally decided I should go home and little did I know he was behind the door with a can of soda and he cracked it right when I opened the door and scared me half to death. All he said was "get to bed we'll talk about this in the morning." I dreaded the morning all night! I don't remember what ever happened but I could talk my way out of a lot just like him. I got that from him and I'm pretty sure he forgave me after a long talk… that made me laugh today! Gosh I miss him! Everyone reading this… thank you for loving my dad, he was amazing! The best father anyone could ask for, the best example of what a husband should be. Dang did he love my mom! We will see him soon in a restored perfect condition and wow what a day that will be… we will trade our sad tears for happy tears! 
 
 Dad, Mom, Kaleigh, Taylor & Tyler I love you guys beyond words! I'm so thankful mom & dad gave me three siblings to go through life with and now to help navigate this horrible time we're in!
