Suzanne "Lipscomb" Higginson
December 6th, 1942 - April 16th, 2013
Suzanne Auvil Higginson, 70, of Satellite Beach, passed away peacefully on April 16, 2013, after a short illness. Suzanne was born in North Carolina and moved to Winter Park, FL, as a child. She graduated from Winter Park High School and attended college in Danville, VA. She had a long, proud career with the CIA, serving at posts in Europe, South America and Washington, DC. Upon retirement, she met and married, William Higginson, who predeceased her. They moved to Satellite Beach, where she became very active with the Satellite Beach Woman's Club, Red Hats and Steel Magnolias. Suzanne is survived by her brothers, Daniel (Anita) Auvil of PA, and David (Valerie) Auvil of Winter Park; sister, Cynthia (Art) King of Winter Park; and several nephews and nieces. Memorial Service to be held at Beach Funeral Home, Indian Harbour Beach at 10:00 AM to Noon, on Saturday, May 4, 2013. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorial contributions be sent to: Coastal Poodle Rescue c/o: Linn Hilliard, P.O. Box 121142 Melbourne, FL 32912 in memory of Suzanne Auvil Higginson
