“Mrs. Suzanne B. Schurrer, 66, of Colorado Springs, CO passed away Saturday, June 9, 2012 at the Hospice of St. John in Lakewood, CO, following a prolonged battle with strokes, diabetes and breast cancer. Mrs. Schurrer was born Barbara Susan McDowell on Oct. 14, 1945, in Geneva, WI, to the late Maurice and Thelma (Rendall) McDowell. She married Ronald H. Schurrer in Fond Du Lac, WI, on Oct. 27, 1974 and they were happily married for 27 years before he passed away in Dec. 2001. Also preceding her in death were two brothers, Donald and David McDowell. Surviving are three daughters, Mrs. Erin Smith and her husband Brian Smith, of Colorado Springs; Mrs. Brenda Schurrer-Maro and her husband Anthony Maro, IV of Colorado Springs; Esther Egan, of Wheaton, IL; a step-daughter, Rachael Schurrer and her fianc
