Tad C. Strickland
May 24th, 1958 - April 7th, 2024
Tad Cabot Strickland, 65, of Tucson, Arizona, died peacefully on Sunday, April 7, 2024, at Tucson Medical Center. Tad was born in Phoenix, Arizona, but grew up and remained in Tucson, other than living in Flagstaff while earning his master’s degree at Northern Arizona University. He was a teacher in Tucson until retirement, but because he enjoyed it so much, he still kept working part-time. Tad was a kind soul who blessed the lives of everyone around him. He enjoyed four-wheeling, trips to Colorado, spending time with those that he loved, and his six beautiful, crazy cats. Tad is preceded in death by his parents, Warren “Buzz” and Winifred “Winkie” Strickland, and his sister, Tammy (Tamara) Strickland. Tad is survived by his daughter, Jennifer Lin Bachert, his brother, Tim (Timothy) Strickland, and his dearest friends, Bob Stephens, and Emily Krull, who were by his side until the very end. There will be no services, per Tad’s wishes, but feel free to raise one up, or blaze one up, in his honor. He would very much like that!
