Tamaris Lee Landsman, artist, free-spirit, and loving wife, mother, grandmother, sister, and friend, left this world on July 24, 2021. Tamaris grew up in the Hollywood Hills of California, following her heart to San Francisco. As a flower child, she had fond memories of standing by the speakers in Golden Gate Park, listening to Jimi Hendrix. Eventually, Tamaris moved to Oregon, where she raised her daughters with former husband Kerry Leek, on homemade bread, Stevie Nicks, and unconditional love. Tamaris pursued many creative endeavors, including her beautiful and colorful mosaics that fill the homes of many Eugene residents. Tamaris met the love of her life, Steven Landsman, in her forties. They shared a rich life with friendship, art, music, laughter, and long road trips to the beach and along the Mckenzie River. Tamaris is survived by her husband Steven Landsman, daughters Molly Surgalski and Rebecca Boetzel, sons-in-law Patrick Surgalski and Alex Boetzel, grandchildren Isabella Surgalski and Jude Boetzel. Survivors also include her sisters Diana Sjostrom and Gazelle Wichner. Tamaris was preceded in death by her daughter Naomi Leek. Tamaris was a fierce and loving soul full of the joy of life. We are missing you.
