Every year, no matter how near our far apart we were, we watched the Academy Awards broadcast together for a long as I can remember. We went to see the movie Ray when it opened and I will always remember the quiet way the entire audience left the theater together, crying. The next group coming in asked us, " was it good?" Tammy and I both said soberly, "yes."

Tammy's smile lights up a room! I first met Tammy as my neighbor we quickly became friends, hairdresser, and my sister! Tammy made you feel seen, heard and loved! Anyone that ever had a encounter with her can tell you. That was her loving personality. Tammy and I spoke on the phone for hours laughing and talking about everything. She would say GIRL let me tell you! When she said that it was deep .. lol. Our friendship grew to a sisterhood. We would talk about life, our children, scriptures, everything. She always has an encouraging word for you. We watch movies, tv shows, concerts and even took trips together. I met her family she met mine they loved her like I do!I have many memories of my sister! She will be miss deeply! I will celebrate her life in memories I have of her I will carry her with me in my heart! To Tammy's children THANK YOU for letting your mother be sunshine in our lives THANK YOU for sharing her! Kata Thank You for allowing me to share your sister. Tammy had such a warm spirit. There was never a time that we saw each other and she wasn't laughing and smiling about something. Her laughter was contagious and I loved every minute of it ! She will truly be missed. Rest well beautiful lady.
