Obituary for Tandie Vernon Miller Tandie Vernon “Bodie” Miller, 59, of Batesburg, South Carolina passed away May 8, 2021 at Lexington Medical Center West Columbia, South Carolina. He was born on May 20, 1961 in Newberry, South Carolina to the late Tandie and Doris (Parrott) Miller. Bodie enjoyed life to the fullest. When he was not working driving commercial trucks or driving a school bus for local schools, he enjoyed the simple things in life. Bodie enjoyed camping, mowing the grass way too short and spending time outside raising honey bees, or just enjoying hunting and horseback riding. Bodie always gave back. He spent 21 years volunteering with the Midland Volunteer Fire Department. He most enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his chihuahua, Charlie. The time spent together with his family were the most treasured times. Bodie will be missed by those he loved and those that loved him. Tandie is survived by his wife, Catherine Elizabeth (Autry) Miller, daughters; Christy Wlaker, (Tyler) and Kayla Henry (Andrew), step sons; Michael Taylor and Nathan Taylor, two granddaughters; Lexi Walker and Brianne Walker. He is also survived by many uncles, aunts and cousin, nieces and nephews to cherish his memory. Bodie also leaves behind his best friend, Steve Black. He was preceded in death by his sister, Kaye Miller and a brother Shelton Miller. The family will receive friends at 1:00 on Friday, May 14, 2021. A celebration of life will be at 793 Columbia Hwy, Saluda, SC, SC 29138 at 2:00PM with Pastor Burton Campbell officiating. Interment will be announced at a later date.
