Tandy Simpson Hubbard
March 5th, 1983 - June 15th, 2024
Tandy Simpson Hubbard, 41, wife of William Hubbard, passed away peacefully from this life into the loving arms of our Lord on June 15, 2024. Tandy was born in Versailles, Kentucky on March 5, 1983 to her parents David Simpson and Gaye Ammerman Simpson.
Tandy’s indelible faith inspired her family, friends, and her community beyond measure. With a smile impossible to overlook, an irrepressible spirit, the warm heart of an ever-caring friend, and an irresistibly playful wit, to know her was to love her.
In turn, she responded with abundant love and grace, especially for her two sweet children in whom she found so much joy in being their mother. Their ability to thrive in the midst of the most difficult of circumstances is a testament to her unyielding faith, character and resolve. We are all blessed that her legacy lives on through them. Second only to her family, Tandy devoted herself to public service. She cared deeply for the 911 community in Kentucky, working tirelessly for positive change to protect Kentuckians in their greatest time of need, receiving numerous certifications and awards along the way. Tandy and her family were supported in many ways throughout her illness, especially by her team of nurses and caregivers, her employer INdigital Communications, and the wonderful group of friends she affectionately referred to as her “prayer warriors.” Tandy was extremely well loved and will be sorely missed, but there is great comfort in knowing that she is and will forever be at peace in heaven.
In addition to her parents and her husband, William, she is survived by her two children, Taylor Katherine Hubbard and William Mills Hubbard; her sister, Leslie Simpson (Grant) Wonderlich; her grandmother Kathy Tandy Ammerman; her sister-in-law Molly Hubbard (Tyler) Pepper; her honorary in-laws Suellen and Charles Shaw; and a host of extended family that she loved dearly.
Tandy was preceded in death by her grandfather, Joe Ammerman; her grandmother Barbara Ward; her uncle Doug Simpson; her brother-in-law John Hubbard; and her honorary grandmother Mary Ellen Coker. While they never had the privilege of meeting on earth, it is certain that Tandy has finally become acquainted with her in-laws, Peggy and Steve Hubbard.
A service will be held in memory of Tandy on Tuesday June 25, 2024 at 1:30 PM in the Chapel at Southland Christian Church (Building A), 5001 Harrodsburg Road, Nicholasville, KY. A celebration of life gathering will follow from 4:00 PM - 7:00 PM at Clark Legacy Center - Brannon Crossing.
In lieu of flowers, Tandy has requested for donations to be made to the Saints Peter and Paul Early Childhood Center, 133 Barr Street, Lexington, KY 40507. Please indicate donations are in memory of Tandy Hubbard as they will be used to benefit the wonderful individuals who have cared for and loved our children so well.
