Tara Lynne Arnold Merritt Island This past Saturday September 25, 2010, Tara Lynne Arnold lost her 18-year battle with cancer at age 49. She was a Registered Nurse, home-maker, wife and mother. She was actively involved in community and school activities. Until her illness, she worked at Cape Canaveral Hospital and as Office Manager of Arnold Primary Care. She was born in Cumberland, Maryland on June 4, 1961, to Sam and Wanda Miller. After high school, she got an associates degree in nursing from Allegheny College, and then worked her way through to a Bachelors of Nursing degree at West Virginia University. Demonstrating her bold and dynamic nature, after graduation with the BSN in 1986, she pursued her lifelong dream and moved to Hawaii as a travelling ICU nurse. There she fell in love with both the island life and a young surgical resident, Art Arnold. They married on Oahu in 1991, and lived there until coming to another island, Merritt Island, in 1994 (after a brief stint in Ohio). There she bore and raised two children, Meghan and Trey. She is survived by her husband, Dr. Arthur A. Arnold, Jr., daughter Meghan L. Arnold, son Arthur A. Arnold, III (Trey), her parents Wanda and Bob Seymour of Merritt Island, brothers Brad Miller of Westminster, Maryland and Todd Seymour of Merritt Island, sister-in-law Colleen Miller, nephews Brendan and Shawn Miller of Westminster, Maryland, stepsister Pam Bullock of South Carolina, stepson Aaron A. Arnold of Phoenix, Arizona, and stepdaughter Courtney Arnold of Grover Beach, California. She will sincerely be missed by her family, and wide circle of cherished friends. A Mass of Christian Burial will held at Divine Mercy Catholic Church of Merritt Island, Friday, October 1st at 5 PM. There will be a reception to follow. Everyone is encouraged to wear aloha shirts to both. In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to the American Cancer Society. Sign the guest book at beckmanwilliamson
