Tara Lindsay Porter Ward, born on May 7, 1978, in Washington D.C., passed away on June 7, 2024, in St. Petersburg, FL. She was a beloved mother, daughter, sister, aunt, and new grandmother who touched the lives of all who knew her with her infectious smile, wild spirit and utter silliness.
Her heart was so full of love, especially the way she lit up whenever she talked about her amazing daughter Tylar Renee Hitchcox Dickins and her adorable new grandson, Harrison Edward Dickins. They were the center of Tara's world, and her legacy lives on in their smiles and laughter. Nobody could make them laugh as hard as she could & nobody could love as hard as Tara!
Tara's life revolved around her family, and she leaves behind cherished memories with her daughter Tylar (Dillan) Dickins and grandson Harrison Dickins. Tara's parents, Terry Porter, Linda Henry Davis, Patrick Michael Davis, loving sisters Nicole Porter (John) Kelly, Kimberly Porter, Caree Davis (Michael) Sullivan, late brother Patrick Regan Davis (Beth Cummings), nephews Jackson and Brennan Kelly, Frankie Davis, Zander and Maverik Cohmer, niece Kalani Cohmer, grandparents the late Harold and Martha Potter, the late Charles and Alyce Henry and the late Sumpter Quilla and June Porter, who remember her genuine kindness and her ability to brighten any room.
As we remember Tara, let’s celebrate the joy, love, and moments of happiness she brought into all of our lives. Her memory will never be forgotten by those who had the privilege of knowing her. We hope you dance, Tara!
