Mr. Ted Rickey Sutton, age 69, a resident of Lakeland, Florida passed away Wednesday, July 17, 2024, at his home with family. Mr. Sutton was born May 24, 1955, in Winter Haven, Florida to James Hershel and Kathleen (Litteral) Sutton. He was a lifetime Polk County resident and graduated from Lakeland High School. Ted was a retired Carpenter for the Polk County School District after 20 years of service. He was a member of Union 2217 of Local Carpenters. He enjoyed reading, the rodeo and spending time with his family. He was preceded in death by his parents and sister – Connie Atkinson. Ted is survived by his loving family, wife of 47 years – Marquette Sutton of Lakeland; daughter – Ashley (TJ) Nesvacil of Lakeland; brother – James (Darlene) Sutton of Punta Gorda; sister – Brenda (Kevin) Allison of Lakeland and Ted’s dog Harley. There are no services scheduled for Mr. Sutton at this time.
